The Oakwood Branch Library was the third branch library of the Paulding County Carnegie Library system. It was established in 2000. In 2007 the branch moved to a building donated by the Cooper Family and was renamed the Cooper Community Library.

The Oakwood Library Association
The Cooper Community Branch Library in Oakwood has an active “Friends of the Library” support group. The Oakwood Library Association meets regularly at the library. This group is responsible for maintaining the branch building and was instrumental in securing library service in the village of Oakwood.
